Grishma Vekariya murder case: Fenil Goyani pronounced guilty by Surat court

SURAT: A local court on Thursday pronounced Fenil Goyani guilty for murdering Grishma Vekariya by slashing her throat on February 12, 2022 in Pasodara area of Surat city.
The court will hear arguments from lawyers before announcing the quantum of punishment on Friday.
Grishma, a 21-year-old college student, was murdered by Fenil (20) near her residence in front of her family and other residents.
Her brother and uncle was also attacked by Fenil when they tried to save her. He allegedly planned her murder after she refused his advances several times.
Following the incident, the police had registered an offence of murder against Fenil and filed a 2,500-page charge-sheet.
The police also filed scientific evidences, including voice spectrography test report and face recognition report.
